openssh-askpass (actually qt4-ssh-askpass is the true name of the application) is is a tiny application that runs at login stage to require ssh pass-phrase if any, in order to log-in (with ssh) on remote computers using the public and private keys usually located in users home/.ssh directory. It comes as a replacement to the application of the same name that usually comes with recent enough distributions (presently Mandriva 2008.1), and has a plasma-like look-and-feel, similar to what KDE4 provides.
The location where the application must be installed as well as the system configuration needed to have it run at startup is system dependent so that it is not detailed here. This is left to expert linux users.
